Resolution Copper Mine in Superior, Arizona—set to become one of the world’s largest underground copper mines—used Sprung-supplied structures for its winch and hoist houses. The structures were chosen for fast delivery and construction, crane-liftable capability, and an engineered, relocatable design. Initially used as on-site warehouses for long-lead items, the buildings were later moved into position: a 40’ x 48’ unit became the winch house, and an 80’ x 158’ structure now covers the hoist house and electrical building. The mine team selected Sprung largely for the structures’ flexibility. Download the white paper for more information
