Canadian mineral exploration company Daura Gold has identified a new mineralised zone south-west of its Antonella Project in Ancash, Peru.
The discovery includes a high-grade silver and gold vein located around 1,500m from the main project area.

Fieldwork has confirmed significant mineralisation, with the vein system trending north-west–south-east towards Highlander Silver’s Bonita Project.
The newly identified vein, exposed over 30m, has yielded high-grade silver and gold samples, with 379 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 0.38g/t gold, as well as 346g/t silver and 0.46g/t gold.
The vein also showed lead concentrations up to 1.44% and copper values ranging between 1,174g/t and 1,240g/t, Daura said.
Daura’s team detected silver and gold in the south-west zone using a portable X-ray fluorescence analyser.

The mineralisation in this area, found in fracture-fill material, suggests a structure consistent with the Bonita-Antonella vein system, indicating potential for further extensions.
Daura president Mark Sumner said: “Daura’s mapping and sampling programme has returned some very high-grade results within Antonella’s main zone, reinforcing the company’s view that Antonella is part of a continuous mineralised vein system with the Bonita project to the SE [south-east].
“The identification of a new mineralised vein system to the south-west of Antonella gives the company another exciting target to explore within the project area.”
Daura plans to expand geological mapping and sampling across the Antonella concessions.
These efforts will include geophysical surveys using drone-assisted magnetometry to better define mineralisation structures.
The findings are expected to inform future drill target definitions for forthcoming exploration activities.
In July this year, Daura acquired five mineral concessions covering around 2,900 hectares (ha) in the Ancash Department, enhancing its strategic position around the Antonella Project and adjacent to Highlander Silver’s San Luis project.
Daura, through its subsidiary Estrella Gold, secured permits last month for its exploration programme at the Antonella project.
