Scotia International has received an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract from American Vanadium for its Gibellini vanadium project in Nevada, US.

The EPCM contract will include three different stages – basic engineering, detailed engineering and construction management – through start-up of the mining operation.

Gibellini project is an open pit, heap leach project, comprising of 232 unpatented lode claims and seven placer claims covering a total area of about 17km² in Nevada.

AMEC Environment & Infrastructure will conduct leach pad and civil design, as well as additional geotechnical studies.

AMEC completed the feasibility study for the project in September 2011.
