Jaguar Uranium has obtained environmental approval to proceed with exploration activities at the La Rosada prospect, part of its Laguna Salada project in Argentina.

The Ministry of Environment of the Province of Chubut granted the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) permit.

The approval authorises exploration activities across six properties covering 59,895.3 hectares (ha).

This area represents approximately a quarter of the 230,000ha Laguna Salada project and is said to be the largest component authorised for exploration within the project to date.

The La Rosada prospect lies 45km north-east of the Guanaco prospect, which received similar EIA approval in March 2026.

Jaguar Uranium is now authorised to begin prospecting and exploration work at La Rosada.

Plans for the upcoming season include systematic geochemical sampling, detailed geological mapping, radiometric grid surveys, and electrical resistivity tomography to help identify and evaluate deep fluvial paleochannels.

The company considers La Rosada a key area within the flagship Laguna Salada project, which focuses on uranium and vanadium exploration across a district-scale site in Argentina.

Exploration activities at La Rosada are scheduled to commence following the end of the winter season, as outlined by the company.

The environmental approval for La Rosada follows earlier permits granted for other areas of Laguna Salada and marks a step forward in Jaguar Uranium’s exploration programme in the region.

Jaguar Uranium CEO Steven Gold said: “Approval of the EIA marks an important milestone for Jaguar Uranium. Given the scale of the Laguna Salada project, this approval advances our exploration strategy and positions the company to move efficiently into the next phase of fieldwork.”

The company is also advancing the historic Huemul uranium mine in Mendoza Province.
