Scorpio Gold has published assay results from three step-out drill-holes at its Manhattan District Project, including a 45.23m interval grading 1.27 grams per tonne (g/t) gold in hole 26MN-086 at the Goldwedge area.
The Manhattan District Project is located in Nevada, US.

These results are part of Scorpio Gold’s phase two diamond drilling programme at Manhattan, which aims to test mineralisation along the Caldera Margin.
To date, Scorpio Gold has drilled a total of 92 holes, named 25MN-011 through 25MN-045, 26MN-046 through 26MN-101, and 26MN-103, for a cumulative 25,919m.
Of these, assay results have so far been received for 76 holes, covering 22,362m.
Results for the remaining 16 holes, totalling 3,557m, are pending and are expected to be reported as they are available.
Within the 45.23m interval from hole 26MN-086, higher-grade sections included 2.4g/t gold over 7.47m from 160.26m and 8.06g/t gold over 2.80m from 172.31m.
The company also stated that it has begun reviewing historic core from the Manhattan site, with any new significant findings to be reported in due course.
The latest drilling at Goldwedge focused on both inside and beyond the Inferred Resource Constraining Pit. The aim was to identify new mineralisation outside the 2025 mineral resource estimate block model.
Drill-holes 26MN-086, 26MN-084 and 26MN-082 were each 50m step-outs, probing to the north and north-east of previously reported holes.
Drill-hole 26MN-082 intersected 0.54g/t gold over 6.1m from 9.75m; 0.14g/t gold over 15.24m from 21.95m; and 0.60g/t gold over 8.6m from 40.78m in the Ordovician Zanzibar Formation limestone.
Drill-hole 26MN-084 encountered a void interpreted as a probable underground stope and did not return significant gold intervals.
The company has also started examining historic core samples from the Manhattan District Project alongside its ongoing phase two drilling.
Scorpio Gold exploration vice-president Harrison Pokrandt said: “With each hole we drill, our confidence builds that the volcanic units at the north end of Manhattan host the potential for much larger-scale mineralisation than the narrow structures historic operators focused on – the very target we have been systematically testing along the Caldera Margin.
“Hole 26MN-086 is a good example, returning 45.23m of 1.27g/t gold built around a high-grade feeder of 8.06g/t over 2.80m that appears to bleed outward into the surrounding tuffs.
“This is a broad, volcanic-hosted signature reminiscent of the nearby Round Mountain system, and ours is the first programme to drill these rocks specifically expecting to find it.”
