Avizo Fire 7 has new features, including image processing commands and advanced measurement tools that increase the quantitative analysis capabilities of image-based data.

The new module can perform both simulation of a permeability experiment, and calculate the intrinsic permeability tensor of a rock sample. The software is also designed to allow accurate computation of absolute permeability – even on very small samples at microor nanoscopic scale – without complex physical experiments.
