First Majestic Silver has completed the first stage of expansion at the processing plant near the La Parrilla silver mine in Mexico.
The new flotation circuit, which is in the start-up phase, will be ramped up to reach its capacity of 1,000t a day in November, bringing the total throughput up to 1,425t a day.

First Majestic is also expanding the cyanidation circuit, which is expected to be finished in October with start-up commencing in November.
The new dual processing plant will have a total capacity of 2,000t a day, with 1,000t a day in flotation and 1,000t a day in cyanidation.
Upon completion, the plant will have a production average of over three million ounces of pure silver, six million pounds of lead and 4.3 million pounds of zinc.
