Cracking the lithium triangle: will new legislation open the gates for Peru?

Globally, lithium resources are dominated by Argentina and Chile, but a recent discovery of huge reserves by Canadian company Plateau Minerals could bring Peru into the South American ‘lithium triangle.’ The project however goes hand-in-hand with the development of nearby uranium resources, and a lack of regulation around radioactive minerals is causing serious concern. So what needs to happen before the ‘lithium triangle’ is unlocked?
