Alfa Pompe

Gruppo Matec Industries, a leader in Italy and in the world in the industrial water treatment market and filter presses for quarries and mines, has signed the preliminary contract and will complete the acquisition of 100% of Alfa Pompe by June 2021.

Alfa Pompe is a historic company from Verona dedicated to the development and all-Italian production of special pumps, rubber-lined pumps for medium and large-sized companies in a variety of industries, including mining, quarries, aggregates and civil purification. A complete range for the industry and the environment that is placed in the Italian excellences.

Created in 1971 by Mr Caprile Araldo, the historical brand Alfa Pompe celebrates the 50th anniversary this year.

The company from Verona brings in dowry an offer with contiguous and synergic positioning compared to the current offer of Matec: more than 1,000 customers and a growth plan that fixes the objective of the next three years to a turnover of about €10 million, thanks to the planned investments.

Alfa’s staff is composed of highly qualified professionals, it boasts an R&D unit of excellence dedicated to the development and evolution of technologies and customized products both for Matec and for all its customers. Alfa Pompe finds its foundation and continuity in the EIR company in Milan, owned by the Caprile family, which has been a technologically driving and competitively stimulating element in the development of this production sector.

With a 100% Italian production in the plant of about 5,000m² in Dolcé, Verona, the Alfa brand has always been synonymous with quality, efficiency and above the Italianness.

The marketing and assistance will be entrusted to the qualified offices of Matec Industries present throughout the country and abroad, with specific commercial and technical skills, assisted and supported by a dedicated team within Alfa.

Matec Industries group managing director Matteo Goich comments: “This acquisition is a natural completion of our group’s activity, further strengthening us in a strategic segment for our core business, which is the high-performance pumps for water and slurry. We will pool our mutual experience and skills, maximizing the value of the business and solutions acquired, continuing to invest in the evolution of Alfa products and market development, bringing the brand back to global competitiveness, while making it an international player in a rapidly developing market.”

With this step, our group, in addition to being one of the few to have a 100% internal and Italian supply chain, will be able to provide customers with a high technology product.

We would like to thank the current director Marco Morati and the current partners for the collaboration and the fruitful work done together, which we hope to continue in the near future.
