WA Belting Completes Splicing of Steel Cord Conveyor Belts at Sino Iron Project, Australia

In January this year, WA Belting Solutions was contracted and completed the huge task of hot vulcanising 1,400mm-wide steel cord belts for the major stage of moving iron ore on the large-scale Sino iron project.

The belts were 2.7km and 700m long, and required a total of 12 hot splices to commission them for operation.

WA Belting’s people worked 24 hours a day to ensure this task was completed within the desired times, taking into account weather and other conditions.

There is no job too large or small for this WA-owned company, which is one of the leading technology companies in conveyor belt solutions in Australia and the Asia Oceania region.
