Arrow Minerals has signed an agreement with Ground Risk to acquire the Turee Creek Iron Ore Project in Western Australia and submitted 12 exploration licence applications.

These developments will expand the company’s Pilbara iron ore landholding by more than 400% to over 1,600km².

The new applications, when combined with the acquisition, cover areas adjacent to major iron ore operations owned by Rio Tinto, FMG, Mineral Resources and Hancock Prospecting.

The Turee Creek project lies approximately 40km from Rio Tinto’s Paraburdoo and Channar iron ore mines and spans a 48km strike extent of the Brockman Iron Formation.

Arrow highlighted that roughly 833km² of tenure is now held in the Turee Creek area through this acquisition and related applications, including 48km² of mapped land in the Brockman Iron Formation.

Around 40% of this package sits under transported cover thought to have potential for concealed channel iron and detrital deposits.

Historical drilling at Turee Creek has been limited, with explorers testing less than 5% of the prospective geology.

Previous operators including FMG and Rio Tinto completed 51 reverse circulation drill-holes totalling 3,372m.

The highest-grade result from past drilling was 8m at 54% iron from 22m depth.

In addition, rock chip sampling across the site returned iron grades averaging 45.2% iron and reaching a maximum of 64.2% iron.

Several iron-rich zones remain untested by drilling.

The new licence applications add 880km² of ground, predominantly in the West Pilbara region or near the Paraburdoo operations.

Arrow intends to review past exploration and plan future work across these areas.

Under the terms of the Turee Creek acquisition, Arrow will pay $103,924 (A$150,000) in shares and A$20,000 in cash to Ground Risk.

Arrow managing director David Flanagan said: “We are fast building a potentially company-making land position in the heart of the world-class Pilbara iron ore province.

“The project acquisition and applications will give us direct access to highly prospective geology and numerous drilling targets on the doorsteps of some of the Pilbara’s biggest iron ore operations.”

Completion is expected within two months, and Ground Risk will retain a 1.5% royalty, with Arrow holding the right of first refusal to acquire it.

No new exploration work has yet been carried out by Arrow on these pending licences.

In July 2026, the company completed a gravity survey across three targets at its Yarraloola Copper Project in the Pilbara region.
