The LBMA brings together organisations involved in the global precious metals market to help develop market standards and set best practice.

By joining as a Full Member, the Pure Gold Company has agreed to follow the principles outlined in the LBMA’s Global Precious Metals Code. This code sets standards related to ethics, governance and business conduct within the precious metals industry.

LBMA CEO Ruth Crowell said: “We are pleased to welcome the Pure Gold Company as a Full Member of LBMA.

“Membership provides the opportunity for the Pure Gold Company to engage in consultations and working groups while contributing to the continued development of the global precious metals market.

“We look forward to working together to drive and develop LBMA’s strategy and essential market solutions for the future.”

The LBMA works to protect the interests of precious metal buyers and sellers by assuring the quality of what is traded on the Loco London Market.

Part of this role involves accrediting the supply chain by verifying the reliability of third-party assurances concerning refinery management systems.

Transitioning from Affiliate to Full Membership marks a new stage in the Pure Gold Company’s engagement with the association.

Pure Gold Company CEO Joshua Saul said: “Achieving Full Membership of LBMA is a significant milestone for the Pure Gold Company and a reflection of our commitment to integrity, transparency and being a trusted UK gold dealer.

“Full Membership gives us the opportunity to play a more active role in LBMA and the wider precious metals market.”

According to the LBMA, Full Members continue to work alongside others in the industry, contribute to shared initiatives and support the ongoing development of the global market for precious metals.

The LBMA currently has 194 member companies across 27 countries, including financial institutions, as well as manufacturing, mining, refining, trading, transportation and vaulting companies.

Membership offers organisations a range of benefits linked to market participation and regulatory standards.
