CopperTech Metals has entered into a strategic partnership with Axiom Group, VBKOM and Fleet Space Technologies aimed at advancing geoscience technologies at the Konkola Copper Mines in Zambia.

The collaboration aims to enhance subsurface analysis, speed up decision-making processes and bolster CopperTech’s capabilities in resource development.

Under the partnership, CopperTech’s AI-driven mining techniques will be combined with Axiom’s geoscience proficiency, VBKOM’s expertise in mining systems and Fleet Space Technologies’ ExoSphere platform to improve exploration and resource definition near mining sites.

As part of the partnership, Axiom will incorporate Fleet’s ExoSphere technology to perform a detailed 3D seismic survey of the orebody and surrounding areas at the Konkola Copper Mines.

This process will generate high-resolution models of the ore body, provide AI-driven insights for drill targeting and offer integrated geoscience data to assist in crafting effective drill campaigns.

The advanced methods are expected to speed up learning cycles, minimise exploration uncertainty and increase efficiency in complex geological conditions.
