BHP Billiton will form a joint venture with Adaro, a subsidiary of PT Adaro Energy TBK, for its Indonesian coal project after receiving approval from the Indonesian Government.

In the joint venture, which will be known as the IndoMet Coal project, BHP Billiton will hold 75% of the project while Adaro will hold 25%.
