Hitachi is currently conducting a study to determine the cost of building the factory, which is expected to commence production in 2013.
Hitachi Construction Machinery senior vice-president Shinichi Mihara said that the new plant is expected to increase the firm’s mining equipment sales to $2.8bn by March 2014.
