Scaling CCUS in North America to achieve net-zero goals in hard-to-abate sectors

With the Paris Agreement calling for a 45% cut in carbon emissions by 2030 and the achievement of net zero by 2050, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) will be centre stage in hard-to-abate industries.
The rate at which we develop CCUS infrastructure needs to increase by a factor of 40 to reach the 2030 targets, and by a factor of 200 to meet the 2050 goals. So, we need to collaborate, rethink the way we deliver infrastructure and attract vital investment to scale up quickly and efficiently.
