Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 56,394,000 with over 1,352,000 deaths and 36,277,000 recoveries.
The US remain the worst hit country with over 11.5 million total confirmed cases and more than a quarter of a million fatalities.
India has the second highest number of cases, and is expected to reach 9 million total confirmed cases this week.
Brazil remains the third worst-hit country and is approaching 6 million total confirmed cases.
Russia is approaching the 2 million cases mark. Cases in Russia have been increasing since the end of September, and on 16 November Russia reported the highest one-day increase since the start of the pandemic with 22,562 cases.
In the last week, average new daily cases have been more than 21,800. As of 16 November Russia reports a positive test rate of 2.8% and is conducting approximately 479.7 tests per thousand people.
In Latin America, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico remain the only nations to have reported more than 1 million total confirmed cases.
Mexico reports far more fatalities due to Covid-19 than Argentina and Colombia, with more than 99,500 deaths compared to 36,347 deaths and 34,563 deaths, respectively.
