Digiheat Drum Base Heater for Standard Areas with digital control
The Digiheat base heater is suitable for heating steel, plastic of fibre drums up to 210 litres, including smaller containers. Top plate temperatures can be set and clearly displayed on the industrial quality integral microprocessor temperature controller. The Ingress Protection rating is IP54.
The Digiheat base heater for drums and smaller containers can be used by itself to provide heat to the base of a drum. Alternatively, it can be used in conjunction with our other products, such as flexible heating jackets, to reduce heating times. When using our THERMOSAFE® Induction Heater for drums in a non-hazardous industrial area, it can be used to melt wax with poor thermal properties.
Faratherm Drum Base Heater for Hazardous Zones
The Faratherm drum base heater is safe to use in hazardous areas (zones 1 and 2). It is fully certified to meet both ATEX and IECEx requirements. With an ingress protection rating of IP66 and no moving parts, it is suitable for use in harsh environments or where regular cleaning is required.
The Faratherm drum base heater is capable of warming containers up to 205 litres. Plastic, steel, or stainless steel are all suitable materials. The Faratherm base heater can heat drums and containers by itself. However, for reduced heating times, it can also be used with an LMK insulated jacket or the Thermosafe Induction Heater, with or without a “top hat” (Certified “T” ratings may vary).
Cast aluminium base heater for standard applications.
If you just need to heat a metal drum as quickly as possible, then our cast aluminium 2400W base heater is available. This has a dial thermostat of either 0 – 120°C or 50 – 320°C but must only be used in an indoor setting. The cast iron base heater can be used with an insulation only heater jacket or with a High Power insulated heater jacket for highly viscous and high heat release products.
