Legacy Minerals has commenced ground geophysical surveys at its Battery and Mascotte prospects within the Mt Carrington Project in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
The company manages the Mt Carrington Project under exploration licences EL6273, EL9616, EL9727 and ALA75.
Fender Geophysics has begun a dipole-dipole induced polarisation (DDIP) survey across six priority lines targeting previously identified zones of mineralisation.
The fieldwork is expected to take up to three weeks, with results anticipated soon after the data analysis and review are complete.
The DDIP survey aims to identify extensions to high-grade gold and silver zones at Mascotte and assist in locating potential higher-grade copper mineralisation at the Battery prospect.
Data from the survey is due to be combined with ongoing surface sampling and mapping activities in preparation for future drilling programmes.
The geophysical surveys are intended to define extensions and provide guidance towards a high-grade target that was identified during earlier drilling campaigns.
Previous results include 40m at one gram per tonne (g/t) gold from a depth of 151m, which also contained an interval of 9m at 2.7g/t gold in drill-hole MSDD001.
Additional findings reported 57m at 0.3g/t gold from 81m, including 8m at 1.3g/t gold from 129m.
In drill-hole MSDD003, 1m returned 18.7% lead, 8.7% zinc and 43g/t silver.
Alongside the geophysics, Legacy Minerals is continuing drilling at the Emu Prospect, with assay results expected four to six weeks following completion of the core processing.
Work is also under way towards a new 2026 mineral resource estimate, which will inform an upcoming scoping study.
Following the Emu drilling phase, a rig is scheduled to move to Mascotte for further follow-up drilling based on initial results.
