The long wave infrared imaging technology is claimed to be an advanced exploration tool that uses LWIR bands to mathematically ‘fingerprint’ target mineralisation and the component minerals.

In order to carry out review, processing, and exploration target generation, LWIR Consultants has obtained LWIR data for the Poplar claim block, which is adjacent to New Nadina’s Silver Queen claim block.

In the New Nadina area, Tasca’s land position comprises four claim blocks of prospective geology totalling around 67,290ha, including the Poplar copper deposit.

Drilling of 147 historical holes at the Poplar deposit indicated a mineral resource of 131 million tonnes grading 0.31% Cu, 0.009% Mo, 0.09 gram per tonne (g/t) gold and 2.39g/t silver.

The project has a historical inferred mineral resource of 132 million tonnes grading 0.27% Cu, 0.005% Mo, 0.07g/t Au and 3.75g/t Ag.

Tasca intends to review and verify the historical drilling database.

In addition, the company will twin multiple existing drill holes to bring the historical resources into use.

Last month, the miner optioned the Poplar property, which covers more than 620km² and is contiguous to the south of its Nadina claim blocks.
