Strategic Minerals and New Age Exploration joint venture Cornwall Resources has completed the necessary arrangements to start drilling at Redmoor Tin/Tungsten Project located in Cornwall, UK.

Strategic Minerals has also signed a contract with Energold Drilling for the two phase drilling programme that focuses on extending defined high-grade resources found at Redmoor.

Strategic Minerals and Cornwall Resources director Peter Wale said: “The early commencement of the drilling programme is a key milestone in our plans to develop Redmoor into a producing mine.

“The aim of the programme is to confirm and extend the high-grade resource at Redmoor.

"The company expects to complete both phases of the drilling programme this year."

“We are particularly pleased that arrangements to undertake the drilling programme were prepared with support from the local community. The work of our highly experienced exploration team (notably Jeff Harrison, community advisor and Brett Grist, newly appointed exploration manager) has placed us ahead of schedule and ensured that drilling will occur in more favourable climate conditions."

The company expects to complete both phases of the drilling programme this year and anticipates to update the market on the results from initial drill holes in the third quarter of 2017.
