Monument Mining has announced that the Burnakura Gold Project in Western Australia has advanced to early stage gold production, which would initiate cash-flow to decrease risks in its operations.
Monument Mining president and CEO Robert Baldock said: “The arrival of the crushing circuit at the Burnakura Mine site along with all the off-site work being completed has reduced construction time by several months according to our implementation plan, this will allow us to ramp-up our targeted gold production quicker than expected."

Operational readiness work for initial stage production of the CIL plant circuit started last April. Como Engineers were hired for the off-site work.
As a part of the off-site engineering design and refurbishment process, new equipment was purchased and existing infrastructure was refurbished.
A new TRIO CT2436 jaw crusher was bought, while feed /discharge conveyors, self-cleaning magnet and triple deck screen were renovated.

In addition, a Secondary Symons 51 cone crusher and fully integrated MCC for plant control are also ready for mobilisation to the site.

The crushing circuit is also ready for installation at the mine site after the completion of funding arrangements.
Monument Mining intends to stockpile ore for the CIL mill feed in surveyed areas near the plant. Pre-construction site development activities at the Burnakura mine site started last August, enabling a light vehicle and preparing a processing workshop.
Monument has also completed re-commissioning of site communications and developing the administration and technical service area in September last year, while the store area for cataloguing was completed in October.
The refurbished laboratory was ready by November, while the construction of access road, ROM pad and crusher feed ramp, sorting of store area ready for operational start-up were also performed.
Approval from the Department Enviromental Regulation was received in October last year to begin operations of the proposed 500,000tpa heap leach facility.
The mining proposal was submitted in December, while the mine closure plan is expected to be sent this month.
The project has also received Amended Environmental Protection Licence for Crushing, Heap Leach and Dewatering.
However, Monument Mining does not guarantee that full production will start on schedule, if at all. The company claimed that the production decision is not based on a feasibility study of mineral reserves.
