AuRico Metals has submitted its permit applications for the wholly owned Kemess Underground Gold-Copper project in British Columbia, Canada.
The application has been submitted to the Major Mines Permitting Office (MMPO), and the project is undergoing a coordinated permitting review process.

Following the submission, the screening process will now begin and continue for 45 days to ensure that the permit applications are complete.
After screening and acceptance, applications will enter the review phase, when comments will be received and addressed under specified timelines. The final decision packages will be then sent for approval.
AuRico expects completion of the permitting process in the second quarter of next year.
The Kemess Underground project already obtained a positive decision statement and an environmental assessment certificate from the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency and the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office respectively.
