dynaCERT has signed an agreement with Canadian original equipment manufacturer Total Equipment Services (TES) to adapt HydraGEN Technology to provide a safe environment to the underground mining industry.
As a dealer of dynaCERT’s HydraGEN Technology, TES will introduce HG145 products to its clients in Canada with immediate effect.
Additionally, dynaCERT and TES will collaborate to integrate HydraGEN Technology with equipment manufactured by TES.
Under the collaboration, the companies will create markets for new products to reduce NOx, THC, particulate matter, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in underground mining environments.
TES president Kevin Whynott said: “These miners face serious health risks from exposure to diesel particulate matter contained in the exhaust released from heavy diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.”
“With newer technologies like HydraGEN Technology, we may have the ability to significantly lower the emissions on pre-existing and new diesel equipment entering the mines every day.”
Mining supply company TES provides product and service solutions and manufactures SPARTA, a customisable line of utility vehicles for underground mining.
SPARTA, which has gone through extensive development, has incorporated positive reaction from engineers, operators as well as mine managers across the globe.
dynaCERT president and CEO Jim Payne said: “Along with our recent award at the Mining Cleantech Challenge in Colorado in March this year, our collaboration with TES will enable our HydraGEN Technology to be recognised as a very beneficial product for the mining industry.”
dynaCERT secured an order in February this year from a global mining company for its C-Series of HydraGEN technology products to be deployed in an open-pit mine in Brazil.
