Pretium Resources has announced that site construction activities at its Brucejack gold project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada, remain on-schedule with commissioning expected in mid-2017.
The property is located about 65km north of Stewart and comprises 122,133ha.

The foundation for the 330-person camp at Brucejack is complete and structural steel over the cast concrete pedestals has also been installed.
Mobilisation of the first prefabricated modules to site has been completed, with installation of services nearing completion.
The permanent camp at Brucejack is expected to be operational early in the third quarter of 2016.

By GlobalDataPretium said that the structural steel installation for the mill building is set to begin late in the second quarter of 2016. Full enclosure of the mill building is expected in the third quarter.
Internal structural steel and mechanical equipment installation are expected to commence prior to full enclosure.
The SAG as well as ball mills are scheduled to arrive on site in the third quarter.
Additionally, surface excavation for the Valley of the Kings portal pad that will serve as the primary access point to convey the gold ore from the underground crusher to the mill has commenced.
At present, underground activity at the portal pads includes excavation of the 1260m level ramp and development of the 1,320m level.
Civil work preparation at the site also commenced.
