Australia-based Maca has secured a $115m contract renewal to provide open pit mining services at Regis Resources’ expanded Moolart Well project.
The Moolart Well gold mine is located within the Duketon gold project, approximately 350km north north-east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Expected to run over 60 months, Maca will also provide services for surrounding satellite pits under the contract, including Anchor, Petra, Lancaster, Dogbolter and Gloster.
The company has operated at the Moolart site since January 2010 and following the latest contract, it will continue to provide services at the mine until January 2020.
Maca will supply open pit mining services such as drilling and blasting, loading and hauling.
Maca operations director Geoff Baker said: "We are looking forward to continuing the strong working relationship we have developed with Regis Resources over many years.
