Notably, future of work was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q1 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of social and electric vehicles, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the mining industry, ABB had the greatest increase in references for future of work in Q1 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 76 future of work-related sentences in the company's filings - 7% of all sentences - and a decrease of 34% in Q1 2024 compared with Q1 2023. Sandvik’s mentions of future of work rose by 2950% to 61 and CNH Industrial’s by 600% to 14 and Rio Tinto’s by 71% to 12 and Metso’s by 1000% to 11.
