The group currently has a broad product portfolio that includes: Cable and Hose Reels, Cable Trolleys, Conductor Rails, Slip Rings, Radio Remote Controls, Energy Storage and Data Transmission Systems.

Today, Conductix-Wampfler is present in all goods handling applications thanks to its global presence. Its network is ready to meet all customer needs (OEM and end-user) to support production maximization and improve material handling efficiency.

Stuart Wheatley, Australia Market Manager, highlights the great success of Festoon Systems pre-assembled car dumpers used on Iron Ore car dumpers, in addition to the successful sales of motorized cable drum systems for stackers, reclaimers and shiploaders:

“We are constantly adapting to requests from big customers like BHP and Rio Tinto to make the festoon systems easier to install onsite, to keep installation labour costs to a minimum. Special delivery frames which incorporate telescopic post sections, allow the festoon system to be fully loomed with cables in our Dandenong factory, prior to lowering the frame for road transport to site.”

Innovations

Conductix-Wampfler is continuously working on innovations to increase cost efficiency and optimize solutions for bulk coal deposits. This year saw the launch of the new ARGO project, which involved the development of a new series of large drum rewinders with VVVF drive control. Conductix-Wampfler has good relationships with major OEMs such as Tenova Takraf, Thyssen Krupp and FAM (to name a few). Recently, Conductix-Wampfler supplied large, locally manufactured cable and hose reels for a new stacker at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.

Service and Modernization

In addition to the sale of equipment for new machines, the company is actively working to meet any further demand for maintenance, overhaul and modernization of existing equipment where parts or complete systems need to be replaced.

The group’s service is ready to answer any questions to have on board the latest generation of technical solutions.

Emerald Grain’s shiploader in the Port of Melbourne was modernized during these years. As part of the shiploader modernization, Conductix-Wampfler supplied a solution with its conductor rail system Single PowerLine 0813 with integrated ProfiDAT data transmission system to establish a reliable power and data connection to the moving shiploader.

The grain market is becoming increasingly important and Conductix-Wampfler has sold a wide variety of products for use in grain handling, especially in grain export terminals. These include conductor rails, slip rings for hazardous areas, ATEX energy guiding chains and JAY radio remote controls. With the recent acquisition of JAY, the company has increased the solutions and level of consulting, with the possibility for all major customers to combine several technological solutions in a unique package.
