“We are constantly adapting to requests from big customers like BHP and Rio Tinto to make the festoon systems easier to install onsite, to keep installation labour costs to a minimum. Special delivery frames which incorporate telescopic post sections, allow the festoon system to be fully loomed with cables in our Dandenong factory, prior to lowering the frame for road transport to site.”

Conductix-Wampfler is continuously working on innovations to increase cost efficiency and optimize solutions for bulk coal deposits. This year saw the launch of the new ARGO project, which involved the development of a new series of large drum rewinders with VVVF drive control. Recently, Conductix-Wampfler supplied large, locally manufactured cable and hose reels for a new stacker at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.
