Deals this week: Danakali, Grand Ocean Advanced Resources, Saint Jean Carbon


Danakali Limited has announced its plans to raise approximately A$12.25m ($9.27m) in gross proceeds from institutional and sophisticated investors by issuing approximately 20 million ordinary shares priced at A$0.62 ($0.46) each.

The placement is supported by Baillieu Holst, an Australian financial advisory firm, while Hannam & Partners and Arlington Group Asset Management are engaged as the joint-lead managers.

Hong Kong-based coal mining company Grand Ocean Advanced Resources (GOAR) has announced plans to raise approximately HK$110m ($14.124m) through a private placement of one billion shares priced at HK$0.11 ($0.014) a share.

The company engaged Grand Cartel Securities Company as the placement agent for the offer.

Saint Jean Carbon has announced plans to raise C$20m ($14.57m), in a private placement, by issuing 40 million units priced at C$0.05 ($0.03) a unit. 

Each unit will comprise one common share and a common share purchase warrant, with an option to acquire one additional common share at an exercise price of C$0.055 ($0.04) expiring within 48 months from the date of issuance. 

"The company also intends to raise C$500,000 through a non-brokered private placement of up to ten million common shares priced at C$0.05 each."

The company also intends to raise C$500,000 ($360,000) through a non-brokered private placement of up to ten million common shares priced at C$0.05 ($0.03) each. 

Saint Jean Carbon is a Canada-based company engaged in development of natural graphite properties and related carbon products.

Kalium Lakes Limited has announced that it has raised A$4.5m ($3.33m) through placement of 13,235,295 new fully paid ordinary shares priced at A$0.34 ($0.25) a share.

The company has engaged BurnVoir Corporate Finance Limited as the lead manager for the placement.

Based in Australia, Kalium Lakes is involved in the mineral exploration and development focused on producing sulphate of potash. 

Australian gold and base metal exploration company Musgrave Minerals Limited has raised A$3m ($2.22m) through placement of 40 million shares to professional and sophisticated investors.

The lead manager for the placement is Patersons Corporate Finance.
