Technology services company RocketDNA has announced that its subsidiary, RocketDNA (WA), has secured a contract with Vault Minerals to continue providing integrated aerial data services at the King of the Hills gold operation in Western Australia.

The King of the Hills operation is managed by Vault’s subsidiary, Greenstone Resources (WA).

The new 18-month agreement, valued at A$705,000 ($463,346), follows the successful completion of a previous three-year drone services contract with Vault announced in 2022.

The agreement strengthens RocketDNA’s existing drone services while expanding the scope to the company’s xBot solution, which offers advanced remote autonomous drone capabilities and automated data processing workflows.

These innovations will be implemented along with RocketDNA’s proprietary SiteTube platform, with operational support provided on-site and remotely from the company’s hubs in Perth and Adelaide.

RocketDNA managing director and CEO Christopher Clark stated: “This contract not only reflects Vault’s confidence in our service but also marks a milestone in integrating remote autonomous operations into daily mining workflows.

“We’re proud to deliver both boots-on-the-ground and remote capabilities that improve safety, consistency and sitewide data intelligence.”

The King of the Hills operation has strongly backed RocketDNA’s xBot solution, serving as a testing ground for the hardware soon after its regulatory approval and adopting the SiteTube® platform early on.

The value-added benefits from these technologies and the addition of RocketDNA’s automated data processing workflow have led to the long-term partnership between RocketDNA and Vault.

The contract has an estimated annual recurring revenue (ARR) of A$470,000. Some components of the contract are provided based on day, hourly or usage rates.

The contract also incorporates a 90-day termination notice period.

In February 2025, Vault Minerals announced an investment of $80m to expand the King of the Hills processing facility.

The move is expected to enhance gold production at the company’s Leonora hub in Western Australia, targeting increased throughput and sustained growth.
