Tox Free Solutions has secured a five-year contract to provide industrial and waste management services for BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam mine 560km north of Adelaide, South Australia.
The underground mine produces copper cathode, uranium oxide concentrate, gold and silver.

Set to begin in June, the contract will cover management of all waste from mining operations, industrial cleaning and quarantine services, landfill management, and recycling.

Around 70% of Olympic Dam mine’s revenue comes from copper, 25% from uranium, and the rest from silver and gold.
