Mining and civil infrastructure services provider Macmahon’s wholly owned subsidiary, Decmil, has secured two new contracts, collectively valued at approximately A$80m, bolstering Macmahon’s order book.

Decmil will deliver a new operations permanent village at the Eva copper mine in Queensland, Australia, valued at around A$70m.

The construction will include accommodation units for 454 people, associated infrastructure, bulk earthworks, central facilities, drainage, internal roads, services installation, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

The commencement of the works is scheduled for mid-2025, with completion expected in 2026.

Arrow Energy has provided the second contract to Decmil to design and construct the Girrawheen satellite warehouse and operations facility. This contract adds approximately A$10m to Macmahon’s order book.

Decmil’s responsibilities encompass the design, supply and construction of all building and storage facilities, along with a maintenance workshop, car park and access roads.

The construction works have already begun and are scheduled for completion by September 2025.

Despite these new additions to its portfolio, Macmahon has stated that the company’s financial year 2025 (FY25) guidance remains unchanged.

Macmahon managing director and CEO Michael Finnegan said: “I am pleased to see Decmil continue to be awarded new, strategically aligned work following the acquisition and integration of the business in August of last year, with total new work awarded in FY25 now exceeding A$400m.

“Decmil has a strong track record of delivering accommodation camp design and construction projects across Australia and we are looking forward to working with the Eva copper mine team on the construction of their onsite accommodation village.”

Last month, Macmahon secured a two-year underground mining services contract valued at A$105m for the Deflector underground gold copper mine in Western Australia.
