
Epiroc has secured an order for a fleet of underground mine trucks and a suite of digital solutions from Sociedad Punta del Cobre (Pucobre) in Chile.
The order, valued at Skr235m ($24.6m), is aimed at enhancing Pucobre’s productivity, cost efficiency and safety. It was recorded in the second quarter of 2025.
Epiroc will supply Pucobre with Minetruck MT65 S haulers for its copper mines, including Punta del Cobre, Granate and Mantos de Cobre.
With a 65-tonne load capacity, the Minetruck MT65 S is designed with a focus on safety, productivity and operator comfort, making it suitable for large-scale underground mining and construction tasks.

By GlobalDataThe digital solutions ordered by Pucobre, including Fleet+ and Fleet+ ShiftGoals, offer enhanced visibility into machine performance and goal tracking through the My Epiroc interface.
The solutions will enable advanced monitoring and performance tracking of its machine fleet, improving efficiency and reducing emissions.
These solutions are anticipated to yield benefits such as reduced fuel consumption, better fleet utilisation and heightened operator safety.
Epiroc has also committed to providing service and spare parts for the equipment.
Pucobre will also benefit from Epiroc’s Asset Health Information Service, which provides high-frequency sensor data and alerts, facilitating advanced monitoring and performance tracking of the machine fleet.

Epiroc has recently inaugurated an expanded manufacturing facility for rock drilling equipment in Hyderabad, India.
The facility, which now encompasses an additional 5,280m², stands alongside the existing Epiroc plant and is set to produce rock reinforcement products to improve mine safety, as well as rotary and down-the-hole (DTH) drilling tools essential for efficient drilling operations.
