It lies roughly 25km south-west of the Resolution porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit owned by Rio Tinto and BHP, and around 20km north-east of the Florence porphyry copper deposit.

The diamond drilling programme aims to explore the extensive area of copper-molybdenum mineralisation and alteration visible at the surface, as well as a vast, open-ended positive chargeability zone at depth.

The target area covers around 4,500m in length and extends up to 2,000m in width, beneath which lies a chargeability anomaly approximately 3,200m×1,200m in size.

The copper mineralisation at Mineral Mountain is located within Laramide-age rocks, which are commonly associated with porphyry copper deposits in the Arizona region.

Notably, the mineralisation features chalcocite, a copper sulphide mineral, along with enhanced gold concentrations, both of which are typical of porphyry copper deposits in the state.

Copper Fox president and CEO Elmer B. Stewart said: “Copper Fox is excited to test this large, high-quality porphyry copper target that exhibits the mineralisation, alteration, host rocks and geophysical signatures typically observed at other porphyry copper deposit in Arizona.

“The size of the porphyry footprint and its location on a north-east trending porphyry copper belt that hosts some of the largest porphyry copper deposit in Arizona is an indication of the porphyry potential of the Mineral Mountain project.”

The goal of the 2025 drilling programme is to assess the depth extent of the porphyry-style copper-molybdenum mineralisation and alteration observed at the surface.

Additionally, it aims to identify the source of the underlying, open-ended chargeability anomaly.

Copper Fox is a Canadian resource company specialising in the exploration and development of copper resources in Canada and the US.
