BUMA Australia has announced a two-year contract extension with the BHP and Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) to continue mining services at the Goonyella Riverside Mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
Valid through to September 2027, this extension will see the continuation of BUMA Australia deploying three prime fleets over the period.
BUMA Australia has been integral to Goonyella’s operations since 2022, providing labour, supervision, and technical expertise.
The company’s role extends beyond mining services, as it actively contributes to local employment and community initiatives, supporting the development of the Isaac region.
BUMA Australia CEO Johan Ballot said: “This contract extension highlights our longstanding relationship with BMA and the deep trust we have built together with its joint venture partners.
“It marks another important milestone in our growth journey and reinforces our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes, further solidifying our reputation as a trusted mining services provider in Australia.”
