Azimut Exploration has announced the findings from its initial diamond drilling programme at the Rosa Zone, located on the Wabamisk Property in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec, Canada.
The Wabamisk Property is 100% owned by Azimut and consists of 673 claims spanning approximately 356km².

The drilling programme, encompassing 3,633m over 26 holes, indicated that the gold-bearing system is both extensive and robust.
The mineralised zone has been traced over a span of 1.4km and remains open in all directions, suggesting further potential for expansion.
Azimut has commenced an additional 2,000m drilling initiative aimed at better defining the system’s geometry and enhancing its gold resource estimation.
The exploration revealed a significant gold discovery. Notably, drill-hole WR25-03 returned 1.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 28.8m, from 23.7m to 52.5m, including 3.26g/t gold over 9.35m from 35.5m to 44.85m.

By GlobalDataHole WS25-04 returned 2.10g/t gold over 10.5m, from 23.5m to 34m, including 4.03g/t gold over 4.5m from 23.5m to 28m. This higher-grade interval includes 10.84g/t gold over 1.5m from 26.5m to 28m.
The mineralisation is characterised by a sheared quartz vein system with minor sulphide (pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite) dissemination, including visible gold occurrences.
Drilling results define a mineralised zone measuring approximately 20–25m in thickness, dipping steeply to the south.
Additional exploration within the property has identified three significant target areas featuring strong arsenic anomalies and east-west-oriented shear zones.
These areas, extending between the Rosa and Fortin zones, are set for comprehensive evaluation in 2026 involving geophysical surveys and likely drilling.
The Rosa Zone’s geological context places it within an Archean greenstone belt in the La Grande Subprovince, near the boundary with the Opinaca Subprovince.
Nouchimi-RJLL Drilling of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, completed the drilling programme using the NQ core diameter.
