Here are the five largest zinc mines by production in Russia, according to GlobalData’s mining database.

1. Bashkirskaya Med Mine

The Bashkirskaya Med Mine is a underground mine located in Republic of Bashkortostan. It is owned by Ural Mining and Metallurgical and produced an estimated 250 Thousand Tonnes of zinc in 2021.

2. Uchalinsk Mine

Located in Republic of Bashkortostan, the Uchalinsk Mine is owned by Ural Mining and Metallurgical. The surface and underground mine produced an estimated 85.4 Thousand Tonnes of zinc in 2021.

3. Gaisky Mine Complex

The Gaisky Mine Complex is located in Orenburg Oblast. It is owned by Ural Mining and Metallurgical and produced an estimated 85.1 Thousand Tonnes of zinc in 2021.

4. Kyzyl-Tash Turk Mine

The Kyzyl-Tash Turk Mine, owned by Zijin Mining Group, is a surface and underground mine located in Tuva Republic. The mine produced an estimated 72.9 Thousand Tonnes of zinc in 2021. The mine will operate until 2032.

5. North Copper-Zinc Mine

Owned by Svyatogor, the North Copper-Zinc Mine is a surface mine located in Sverdlovsk Oblast. It produced an estimated 34.7 Thousand Tonnes of zinc in 2021.
