Innovations Applied for IP Protection Recently

Innovations applied for IP protection tracks new noteworthy patent applications published recently in the Mining Sector including ground-breaking technologies and the company’s technological and strategic shift towards adoption of new technologies.

The patent has been granted to Wuhan University which relates to a deep-sea collecting robot for collecting polymetallic nodules in deep-sea. The robot has an underwater moving carrier and a collecting module mounted on the carrier. The collecting module includes a collecting frame, a collecting pump, a rack and a collecting tube and the collecting pump which includes a piston and a cylinder with open lower-end. The upper part of the cylinder is a collecting area and a check valve is arranged in the middle of the piston.

A patent has been granted to Accenture Plc which relates to system and methods for blast reconciliation for mines. The invention describes a blast reconciliation model may be generated using existing pre blast measurement data and existing post blast measurement data, and used to analyze the ascertained pre blast measurement data and the ascertained post blast measurement data. Based on the analysis of the ascertained pre blast measurement data and the ascertained post blast measurement data, a blast material yield for the mining site may be determined as a result of the blasting operation. An alert indicative of the blast material yield may be generated.

The invention discloses an automated material inventory and delivery system for underground mines using a shaft and hoist transporting material from the surface to working areas. The system includes  automatic and paperless processing orders for supplies from various locations within the mine. The system communicates to client through terminals located throughout the mine and tracks material received, stored and distributed using electronic inventory tracking.
