Skull Ridge Gold has acquired 689 mineral claims covering approximately 17,225 hectares in central Newfoundland, Canada.
The claims were obtained through an arm’s-length prospector based in Newfoundland, with Skull Ridge reimbursing staking and related acquisition costs.

This land package, named the Crippleback-Stony Lake Gold Project, positions the company along what is described as the potential eastward extension of the Crippleback structural and intrusive corridor.
The newly acquired area lies between Pirate Gold’s Crippleback Project and Benton Resources’ land holdings at Stoney Caldera, placing Skull Ridge’s property within an active regional exploration zone.
The land covers part of the broader Crippleback Intrusive Suite, which regional reports estimate spans more than 200km².
Crippleback-Stony Lake Gold is located within the Valentine Lake Fault Zone, regarded as one of central Newfoundland’s main mineralised structural corridors.
The area includes multiple intrusive rock types, volcanic units and major fault structures.
Historical electromagnetic surveys have indicated fault structures crossing the region.
Recent exploration nearby, particularly at Pirate Gold’s Crippleback Project, has identified copper-gold mineralisation and porphyry-epithermal alteration systems.
Benton Resources has also reported gold and copper occurrences to the east at the Stoney Caldera Project, supported by historical drilling in the Stony Lake area.
Skull Ridge plans to conduct a compilation and targeting programme to analyse geological data and prioritise areas for follow-up exploration.
The company aims to determine if the geological trends seen in adjacent projects extend across its newly acquired property.
Initial tasks are expected to include reviewing historic exploration data, interpretation of geophysical surveys, mapping and geochemical sampling.
Skull Ridge executive chairman and CEO Karim Rayani said: “The Crippleback-Stony Lake Project gives Skull Ridge a district-scale position within one of central Newfoundland’s most active emerging gold-copper exploration corridors.
“The regional opportunity extends well beyond proximity to a single discovery. Recent exploration has identified a much larger geological system containing multiple alteration and geophysical targets.”
