The fleet will comprise seven Toro TH663i trucks and six Toro LH517i loaders, along with five Sandvik DL432i longhole drills and five DD422i development drills.
These Toro trucks and loaders are designed for challenging underground environments, and feature advanced connectivity and real-time analytics to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Similarly, the Sandvik drills are engineered to enhance productivity and accuracy while ensuring operator safety. These features contribute to consistent operational performance and safety in demanding conditions.
Sandvik’s dual controls package will be part of the development drills, offering various drilling capabilities such as boring, bolting and meshing. The deal also encompasses rock tools and additional parts and services.
Barminco Australia Operations vice-president Mick Radi said: “Our collaboration with Sandvik continues to evolve alongside the increasing demands of modern underground mining.
“This new fleet investment for Bellevue will support accelerated underground development, improved material movement and increased flexibility as additional mining areas are opened.”
Barminco was awarded a four-year contract by Bellevue Gold to deliver underground mining services. The work is set to commence in August 2026 and will support ongoing development at the Bellevue Gold Project, located around 400km north-west of Kalgoorlie.
Bellevue started commercial production in 2024 and aims to achieve production guidance of 130,000–150,000oz of gold in fiscal year 2026 (FY26).
The mine is equipped with four wind turbines and a solar farm, which supply approximately 90% of its energy needs from renewable sources.
Sandvik recently secured an order from China-based JCHX Mining Management to supply an underground mining equipment fleet for use at the Khoemacau Copper Mine in Botswana.
