Talisman Metals has released assay results from recent channel sampling at its Tirzzit copper-silver project in Morocco.

The company carried out the sampling in April 2026, targeting malachite mineralisation at surface within the Basal Series along an estimated 700m segment of a 4.6km trend.

The sampling programme returned several notable intervals.

Channel TZ-CH001 yielded 2.65m at 1.71% copper and 22.25 parts per million (ppm) silver, with mineralisation continuing at the end of the channel.

Additionally, Channel TZ-CH003 recorded 0.94m at 1.11% copper and 6ppm silver. Channel TZ-CH005 intersected 1.63m at 1.06% copper and 4.25ppm silver.

Across the 700m strike length, the weighted average result was 1.25m in thickness at 1.21% copper and 12.25ppm silver. The alteration halo was found to be approximately 2m thick on average.

Talisman CEO Tim McCutcheon said: “The seven-channel sample programme done on the back of our work at Fougnar this spring was an opportunistic effort to get hard data on what the team noticed in the field, namely obvious outcropping mineralisation that could show a long target horizon.

“This work, combined with historical data, lays out an approximate 4.6km horizon of mineralisation with clear potential to extend mineralisation data points to the east and to the west. The goal, after extending out the horizon, is to commence a drill programme on the project to show that the mineralisation extends at depth and that it widens out in those areas.”

According to Talisman, all seven channels sampled over the 700m distance yielded copper grades above the company’s cut-off grade of 0.3%, with copper results ranging from 0.75% to 1.74% and silver grades between 3ppm and 22ppm.

Sampling was conducted using sub-vertical groves cut against outcrops dipping 30 degrees to the north-north-west, using equipment matching an HQ core diameter.

The true thickness of each sampling interval was determined using a Jacob Staff.

Six quality assurance/quality control samples were included in the batch, representing around 5% blanks, 5% field duplicates and 5% certified reference materials.

All collected samples were prepared and analysed at the ONHYM laboratory, where they were crushed to 3mm (with 85% passing this size) and pulverised at 75 microns.

The Tirzzit project is a sediment-hosted stratiform copper-silver system situated 225km east of Agadir.

The area under licence covers 16.5km² over two mining licences.

Prior to this, Talisman announced the outcomes of recent stream sediment sampling at its Fougnar project, located 25km west of the Tizert copper-silver mine in Morocco.
