Corcel Exploration has secured approval from the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for the reclamation bond necessary to commence activities at its Yuma King Project in Arizona.
The permit allows the company to initiate site preparations and begin a drilling programme at the site.

The company’s drilling efforts will cover around 1,500m of diamond core across six to eight drill sites, focusing on copper and gold skarn and porphyry-style mineralisation.
These targets were identified through recent geophysical surveys and geochemical sampling near the Yuma King Mine.
Historical drilling results from this area have revealed intersections of 0.78% copper, 0.53 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 6.3g/t silver over a span of 45.4m.
Corcel Exploration intends to expand copper-gold mineralisation along strike and down dip at the Yuma King Mine, while exploring for new zones of significant mineralisation.

By GlobalDataThe initial drilling phase at the Yuma King Mine area aims to examine both skarn/replacement and porphyry mineralisation types, given the system’s potential for expansion in several directions and at varying depths.
Additionally, Corcel Exploration has started a ground induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey at the project.
This survey, covering ten line kilometres using a 2D pole-dipole method, is set to focus on key exploration targets at Yuma King West and the Yuma King Mine.
The high-resolution survey aims to define geological structures and detect sulphide mineralisation through exposed areas, enhancing the geological model alongside previous drone magnetics and surface geochemistry data.
Corcel Exploration CEO Jon Ward said: “Receiving official acceptance of our reclamation bond from the US BLM is an important milestone for Corcel, as it allows us to move forward with site preparation and drilling at Yuma King.
“With permits now in place, we are preparing to begin our 1,500m drill programme across multiple priority targets at the project. At the same time, we have commenced an IP survey to help us better understand the potential scale and strength of mineralisation across the property.
“Combined with our existing exploration data, this work will guide our drilling and position us to efficiently advance the Yuma King Project.”
The Yuma King Project, Corcel Exploration’s flagship copper-gold exploration asset, is situated within the Ellsworth Mining District.
The project encompasses 3,200 hectares (ha) with potential for various mineralisation styles including copper-gold skarn and porphyry copper, molybdenum and gold.
In June 2024, the company announced the acquisition of the Willow Copper Property in the Omineca Mining Division of north-central British Columbia, Canada. This property covers an area of approximately 1,160ha and is located roughly 4km south-east of the Sustut Copper Deposit.
