Meadow Bay Gold has reported gold mineralisation from assay results at its Atlanta Gold Mine Project located in Nevada, US.

Meadow Bay Gold CEO Robert Dinning said now that the remaining assays from the 2011 program have been received, the company will turn it focus to this year’s exploration programme.

"These include our next rounds of definition and exploration drilling, as well as creating a new NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate," said Dinning.

Hole DHRC-11-RCN04 tested the central portion of the Atlanta porphyry, as previous assay results indicated gold mineralisation occurrence within both the northern and southern portions of the intrusive.

Hole DHRC-11-011R was drilled due south at an inclination of -60 degrees but true thickness of the mineralisation has not been determined.

This is the southernmost hole drilled to intersect gold mineralisation within the Atlanta shear zone.

In 2011, drilling programme tested the extent of Atlanta Fault zone mineralisation and also discovered porphyry-hosted gold mineralisation to the west.

The company said the drilling was done to explore the extent of the porphyry intrusive and continuity of gold mineralisation north of the discovery hole.

Geochemical analyses were conducted at a laboratory owned by US-based ALS Minerals.
