Hammerdown

Maritime Resources Corp has begun its 3,000m drilling programme on the Green Bay property located near Kings Point in Newfoundland, Canada.

The Green Bay property consists of the Hammerdown gold deposit and the Orion gold deposit, which are separated by a 1.5km distance.

The programme is designed to confirm the historic mineralisation on Muddy Shag zone at the western extension of the Hammerdown gold deposit.

Previous drilling in this 400m long prospective area has encountered a number of gold bearing quartz veins assaying up to 8.27g/t Au over 1.5m.

Mining at the adjacent Hammerdown deposit by Richmont mines between 2000 and 2004 indicated a resource of 155,000 ounces gold at a grade of 16g/T Au.
