The gold property is located in the Swayze Greenstone Belt, about 150km south of Timmins, 180km north of Sudbury and approximately 10km northwest of the past producing Jerome Gold Mine.
The company has started line cutting, which will be followed-up with an induced polarisation survey and a soil sampling survey over the entire property.
These surveys are expected to take about two to three months to complete and will be followed by diamond drilling of selected identified targets.
Completion of the diamond drilling programme will see the company fulfil its Phase 1 responsibilities under the Burton Gold Property option agreement signed with Trelawney Mining.
Burton Property’s historical diamond drill intercepts include 9.34 grams per tonne (g/t) over an intersection length of 7.75m at the shaft zone and 12.47 g/t over an intersection length of 3.13m at the east zone.
