Ramelius Resources has recorded a 4.6% increase in gold ore production from its Western Australia operations in the first quarter of 2010-11, compared with the last fiscal quarter.

The company said its gold ore production for the opening quarter increased to 25,243oz from 24 133oz, at a cash cost of A$395 (US$386) per ounce.

Sales reached $39.95m for the first three months to September this year, the highest sales figure since Ramelius commenced production from its Wattle Dam mine.

Since the end of the last financial year, the company also recorded a return of 5 cents a share from the first holes drilled by the company on its newly-acquired Mt Magnet project, also in Western Australia.
