Harmony Gold Mining Company has said it has found the bodies of two miners who went missing following a tremor affecting its Bambanani Mine, South Africa, earlier this week.

The rescue team recovered the first employee’s body on 29 September and had already suspended its operations.

The company is yet to confirm when the mine would reopen or how much output would be lost as a result of the shutdown.

The Bambanani Mine, located in Free State province, produced 1,170kg of gold during the April-June quarter.
