CQUniversity Australia (CQU) in Queensland said it is helping build central Queensland’s resources sector by providing key skills in partnership with the Queensland Resources Council.

CQU and QRC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that states that CQU will contribute key engineering and science skills for the minerals and energy sector and skills needed for health, childcare and business communities.

The university and QRC have also teamed up to invest in scholarships to help the next generation of central Queensland environmental scientists and engineers.

Two scholarships worth $10,000 per annum for the student’s science or engineering degree are on offer for next year.
