Hambledon Mining in the UK says its operations are now running at maximum rate despite 17 days of lost production earlier in the year.

The UK-based miner said it recovered 5,224oz of gold and 12,103oz of silver for the three months ended 30 September.

Overall milled tonnes were 161,378 for the three months ended 30 September.

Production in August and September was impacted by repairs and maintenance of the ball mills and jaw crusher with 17 lost days of production.

Even though the average rate was less than planned, the facility is now running at what is anticipated to be the maximum rate – 15% to 20% above design capacity.

The 79.5% recovery for the quarter was less than expected.
